Card Tote Class Preview

I've had a few people ask what the Card Tote will look like for the upcoming class, so here it is.  The class features the Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper, the Stamp Set Curly Cute, and the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Elegant Lines and matching colors and accessories.  Here are the individual shots:
This is the tote.  Colors are Crumb Cake (formerly known as Kraft), Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze and Soft Suede.  The tote will hold 6 cards plus envelopes.  We will make the tote and 2 each of 3 different cards.  Should take around 2 hours.  If you can't make it, and want some information on how I did things, zip me a note.

These are the cards.  One Thinking of You, one Thank You and one Birthday.  2 of each will fit nicely inside for a color-coordinated gift.  Punches used include the Butterfly and Extra Large Bird.  I used Flower Dies for the Sizzix Big Shot to create the Flower on the tote and the ones on the Thank You card.  Enjoy!

Hydrangeas in season.

I passed a plant that actually looked this color recently.  It's the new Marina Mist.  I paired it here with Very Vanilla and the lovely Pear Pizzazz which is a new "In Color" for the next 2 years.  I'm really glad that Stampin' Up! decided to keep the In Color collections in a 2-year cycle.  It gives us more options.  Plus we'll get 5 new ones next year to use along with the 5 from this year.  The colors this year are everywhere in catalogs, magazines and design houses.  It's fun to see how the palettes in paper crafting are influenced by other media.  The butterfly in the background is from Flores Suaves, a stamp set found in the Celebrando Creatividad Spanish version of the Stampin' Up! Catalog.  It's a lovely set with very graceful lines.  Hope you enjoy today's card.  Thank you for visiting.

More Vintage Wallpaper

The photo is a bit off-center, but I think you can get a good idea.  This is another card using the Vintage Wallpaper die.  I really like the look on Navy.  Very elegant.  I'm really enjoying the folder.  Sassy ladies, we'll be using it next week, for sure.  The circle stamp is from the new set Artistic Etchings.  It's one of the more vintage-type stamp sets that are popular right now.  The pearls here are the old ones from the Pretties Kit.  I'm still waiting for the self-stick ones.  They should get here today.  My UPS guy is the best.  The color combination is the new Cherry Cobbler (a nice rich red) and Night of Navy (an old classic).  Thanks for checking in today.

Stamps: Artistic Etchings, Thank You Kindly

Accessories:  Big Shot Machine, Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Vintage Wallpaper, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Satin Ribbon Very Vanilla, Pearls from Old Pretties Kit.

New Stuff!

Finally, I've been playing with some of the new stamps, accessories and colors, so here's the first sample.  The flower stamps are from a new Level II hostess set (Fast and Fabulous).  The dry embossing is done with the new Textured Impressions folder Vintage Wall Paper.  I really like this folder because the impression is so detailed and deep on the paper.  I used one of those interesting new color combinations:  Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, and Daffodil Delight.  Enjoy your day.

Ink: Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso
