Another card I donated for the church auction.  This is, again, a really simple card.   It uses the Core'dinations card stock in Early Espresso.  This time, I ran it through the new Woodgrain TIEF.  I paired it with the Riding Hood Red and the Lucky Limeade colors to make it more festive.  Thanks for visiting.

This photo is a little dark, but I think you get the idea.  Here's a great Fall-toned card that can be used for many purposes.  I didn't use a single punch or the Big Shot on this one!  Shocking, I know.  I did, however, use the Very Vanilla Seam Binding which I'm very fond of.  Adds a soft look to the card.  Happy Tuesday.  Thanks for stopping by.

Getting Technique-y

Okay, so I got a little inspired by a card that Jill Olsen, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator extraordinaire, sent in her e-mail to those of us in her downline.  It was really a cool idea with Punched Circles adhered to a white background and run through the Big Shot with an embossing folder.  It's a technique I had completely forgotten about and had to try my own version of it.  Thanks Jill for the inspiration.  Here are two of my takes on this great idea.  The first is my own imitation of Jill's card using the supplies I had on hand.  The second is the Hanukkah version.  The flames for the candles are punched using the Merry Minis Punch Pack from the Holiday Catalog.  The TIEF is the Chevron folder, that super-popular pattern.  Hope you enjoy them!

Not everyone gets into the Holiday Card scene, but a New Years Card might be just the idea.  This particular design could also be a wedding, anniversary or congratulations card, too.  The ribbon and the Silver Glimmer paper are NOT pink (contrary to the reflection from the brown table beneath).  I will try to take a different picture of this one when time allows.  In any case, Cheers to you all as we enter the busiest time of the year.

Thinking of You

Here is a fall Thinking of You in some non-traditional colors and Patterns. Chevron has been a big pattern for a while now.  Here it is in the TIEF on Basic Grey paper with a hint of pattern from the Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper.  The Framelits dies are cut out in Midnight Muse and Cherry Cobbler.  The lovely flower-like stamp from Day of Gratitude is stamped in Rich Razzleberry and cut out by hand.  The In-Color Dahlia in Midnight Muse is in the center.  Enjoy.

Ornament Surprise

As promised, here is another card using the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle (the Stamp Set and the Framelits Dies can be purchased together  for a 15% savings!).  This uses non-traditional colors of Island Indigo and Cherry Cobbler and pairs them with the Pewter Embossing Powder for a cheerful look.  The TIEF Petals-a-Plenty is used on the cardstock as well as on the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.  It gives a slight sheen to the Binding when it goes through the Big Shot in the folder.  The paper is  from the very versatile Festival of Prints DSP Stack (p. 20 in the Holiday Catalog)

This card was inspired by one my friend Pat did at one of our Stamp group meetings.  It's a great fall card.  I didn't quite have the stamps she had, or the bling (my Smooch Spritz didn't feel like spritzing).  But I made it work.  Thanks for the inspiration, Pat!  And, yes, you can stamp on the Cotton Ribbon and also dye it to match your paper. Seasonal at last!

November is here which means I'm usually scrambling to make cards for the church auction.  So here is the first of the ones I've donated this year.  I love making holiday cards so I'll toss them in over then next few weeks just to get your creative juices flowing.  Don't worry, I have some fall-themed cards and Thanksgiving cards as well.  Meantime, this simple card can have many sentiments.  You could easily "bling it up" with more rhinestones, but I liked the focus on just one.  Enjoy.

More Halloween Cards

 Here are three more Halloween cards for you to enjoy.  The two vertical ones are my own designs.  The cat one, I can't take credit for, but it's really cute, isn't it?  I really like that stamp.  Very fun.

First one uses Wicked Cool and Toxic Treats Stamp Sets.  Colors are Lucky Limeade, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black and Whisper White for paper, Lucky Limeade, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black markers and Staz On Jet Black Ink Pad for the inks.  Add some punching and the Stripes TEIF and Voila!

Second Card also uses the Toxic Treats stamp set and the "Boo" from the Tiny Tags set, as well.  TEIF Chevron used on the Elegant Eggplant Paper.  The other colors are Summer Starfruit (for the circle and tag) and Lucky Limeade and Basic Black.

The card base is Whisper White.  I cut the gate and black mat out with the Labels Collection Framelits dies.  The Baker's Twine is Lucky Limeade.

Last Card, the C.A.S.E.'d (Copy and Share Everything) one, is a card that I saw in a stack of swaps my friend Pat had.  Thanks, Pat!  I'm not exactly sure who the designer was, but it was too cute.

It uses the "Frightening Feline" stamp from the Holiday catalog with those cute googlies as eyes.  The Designer Series Paper is "Howlstooth and Scaringbone." The ribbon, also from the Holiday Catalog, is the 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon.  Colors are Whisper White, Basic Black, Tangerine Tango.

Oh Baby!

We've had a bit of a baby boom here lately.  Had to send four new baby cards recently.  This was my most recent one, so I thought I'd share it.

Fancy Fan folder for the background matches the pattern on the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper swatch.  I then used the new Window Frames Framelits dies in two shades of pink behind the Duck.

Here's an early Halloween card for inspiration.  Using the cute spider from the Googly Ghouls stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  The Elegant Eggplant cardstock is run through the Big Shot with the Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF from now on!) Then it is rubbed with the Illuminate Pad.  Sponge dauber might work better...I think we'll us it at the next Sassy Meeting. And, of course, the Googlies make their first appearance of the season.  They're in the Holiday Catalog, too and they're adhesive-backed so they go on in a snap.  Enjoy...

Happy fall.  This is a first for me, a photo from my phone.  This one is not very clear, I'm still learning the in's and outs of a "smart phone."  It is cool to have things at your fingertips.  Now if I can just figure out how to actually post from the phone, we are in business.

Birthday Card for a Friday

Here is a birthday using the In Colors from the 2010-2012 set.  I really love these colors and will be using them a lot as we come to the end of this catalog year.  Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz have become a staple in my color rotation so I don't know what I'm going to do when they leave my professional palette!  I'll have to stock up for personal use down the road, I suppose.  In any case, here's that wonderful Bird in the heart from the Take it To Heart stamp set.  I also used the Happy Birthday from the Sale-a-bration set (free!) Valentines Treats

Here are some cute Valentine treat ideas.  Who knew there were some many different colors of Candy Corn!  This is called "Cupid Corn" and for those of you who are local, I found them at Ann's House of Nuts.  These came together really quickly.  I'll post a single picture here, as well.  The 1"x8" Cellophane Bags that Stampin' Up! has been carrying since the Holiday Mini Catalog are really fun to play with.  I did a reindeer at Christmas time (with Reindeer Corn, naturally) and now I've got a Valentine treat, too.  The Cello bags have a self-adhesive top (love it!) and I attached a 2-3/8 inch Scallop Circle (punched out of Very Vanilla) to the top and folded it in half.  I then used some Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon for the handle.  The hearts are punched using the Framelits Dies Hearts Collection from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Add a sentiment and you're ready to give them to family, friends or co-workers.  I can't wait to play with the Spring-Easter version using Bunny Corn!  Stay tuned...Here's the single picture:

Here is another card using products from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  This uses the Twitterpated Product Suite featured on pages 10-13.  I made the border using the Edgelits Dies Adorning Accents and matching it with a stamp from the Bordering on Romance clear mount stamp set.  The clear mount here makes lining things up much easier.  I used the Twitterpated Designer series paper, as well.  Enjoy.

Late Tuesday Post

Here is a fun way to thank someone.  A card with a "cup of thanks" attached.  This is the new Tea Shoppe stamp set from the Occasions Mini catalog.  The minute I got it, I new I had to stamp the big tea cup in Wisteria Wonder.  Why? I haven't a clue.  It was one of those instant inspirations.  I paired the Wisteria Wonder with Wild Wasabi and Blushing Bride to showcase more of the products from the Occasions Mini.  The border on the Wasabi paper was made with the new Edgelits Dies Adorning Accents and the coordinating Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The ribbon on the left is the new 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon in Blushing Bride.  It adds a hint of texture to the edge of the card.  Hope you stop by again!

A Friday Card

Here's another Valentine idea.  This one uses the Framelits Hearts Collection from Stampin' Up! along with some other fun products.  The card base is cut from the largest of the Framelits Hearts.  I overlapped the die on the edge of a folded 5.25x10.5 piece of Pink Pirouette cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot.  Next I took a Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the Adorning Accents set of 3 and ran just the front of the card base through the Big Shot again to emboss those sweet little hearts.  I did the same to the smaller Pink Pirouette heart which was punched with the Full Heart Punch.  I like the way this punch coordinates with the Framelits collection, as well.  The smallest heart is punched from Red Glimmer Paper using the Heart to Heart punch and fits nicely on the oval accent piece.  Have a wonderful weekend!  Come back soon.

Two Days In A Row!

I must be on a roll... Here's another Sale-a-bration card.  This time it's a Valentine using the Sprinkled Expressions stamp set.  I got it for FREE with a $50 purchase.  Actually, as a demonstrator, I got to pre-order this one early so I've had a chance to work with the set.  It's fun.  I have to admit I was a bit hesitant at first, but I'm convinced now.  It was a good choice.  Here I paired the hearts with lots of pink.  My daughter wouldn't care for it, but I think it works here.  Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink and Regal Rose are layered.  I also used that lovely White Organza ribbon which adds a touch of smooth elegance to any project.  The tiny punched heart is actually from the Owl Builder Punch.  Thanks for visiting,
