More Vintage Wallpaper

The photo is a bit off-center, but I think you can get a good idea.  This is another card using the Vintage Wallpaper die.  I really like the look on Navy.  Very elegant.  I'm really enjoying the folder.  Sassy ladies, we'll be using it next week, for sure.  The circle stamp is from the new set Artistic Etchings.  It's one of the more vintage-type stamp sets that are popular right now.  The pearls here are the old ones from the Pretties Kit.  I'm still waiting for the self-stick ones.  They should get here today.  My UPS guy is the best.  The color combination is the new Cherry Cobbler (a nice rich red) and Night of Navy (an old classic).  Thanks for checking in today.

Stamps: Artistic Etchings, Thank You Kindly
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Very Vanilla, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Big Shot Machine, Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Vintage Wallpaper, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Satin Ribbon Very Vanilla, Pearls from Old Pretties Kit.

New Stuff!

Finally, I've been playing with some of the new stamps, accessories and colors, so here's the first sample.  The flower stamps are from a new Level II hostess set (Fast and Fabulous).  The dry embossing is done with the new Textured Impressions folder Vintage Wall Paper.  I really like this folder because the impression is so detailed and deep on the paper.  I used one of those interesting new color combinations:  Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, and Daffodil Delight.  Enjoy your day.

Stamps: Fast and Fabulous (hostess L-II), Thank You Kindly
Ink: Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso

Boxes, Boxes!

My friend Casey (Thanks, Casey!) suggested that I post some project/box pictures on the blog. I'll try to put one on a week. Here's the first. These little boxes (the gift for Casey and the rest of you who kindly e-mailed me on the anniversary!) are made using 2 of the Stampin' Up! Scalloped Envelope BIGZ dies, plus a strip of paper 1-1/2 x 7-3/4 inches scored 2-1/4 inches from each end. The box is big enough to hold 3 mini-cards (3x3) and envelopes. I used a combination of retired colors/papers and new stamp sets here to make these particular ones. Here's a close-up of one of the boxes, as well. Sorry about the lighting on it. I think my camera needs new batteries.

Stamps: Great Friend, Thank You Kindly, Think Happy Thoughts
Inks: Blue Bayou, Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi (all retired from last year's In Color pallette)
Paper: Whisper White, Soft Sky, River Rock, Textured Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi, and Blue Bayou (again a lot from last year's In Colors)
Accessories: Stampin' Up! Scalloped Envelope Sizzix BIGZ die, Cuttlebug (still don't have that Big Shot...), Punches - Scallop Circle, 1-3/8 inch circle, 1-1/4 inch circle, 3/4-inch circle, Crop-a-dile (to punch holes for the handles), Ribbon: Groovy Guava, Blue Bayou stitched grosgrain (retired), dimensionals, Earth Elements Brads

Roof Garden Accents

Here's a card that combines the Pocket Silhouettes and Thank You Kindly with the new Roof Garden Accents and Elements kit. The decorative strip on the side and the flower elements all are self-adhesive card-stock. Makes for quick embellishments on a card. Again I used the new colors Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze, plus the Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon for texture. Hope it inspires you.

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes, Thank You Kindly
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss
Paper: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Paper Piercer, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, Roof Garden Accents and Elements

More Silhouettes

Here's how one of the Pocket Silhouettes looks embossed in white. Kind of neat on that Kiwi Kiss paper. I really like the combination of the Kiwi Kiss and the Pacific Point blue. The In Color palette this year is really interesting to play with and if you look around at the home decor magazines and in the stores, these colors are everywhere. The ribbon is the Striped Grosgrain that matches the Pacific Point paper. I didn't have any of the matching buttons, but I thought the Celery button worked just fine. The sentiment is from Thank You Kindly, another new set. Enjoy the mid-week.

Stamps: Thank You Kindly, Pocket Silhouettes
Ink: Versamark, Pacific Point
Paper: Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point
Accessories: 1-inch and 3/4-inch circle punches, Fresh Favorites I Buttons, Linen Thread, Winter White Embossing Powder, Pacific Point Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.
