Wintry Wednesday

Some flowers for a wintry day. Here's 2 takes on the same idea for a card. Different colors, but this is by far my favorite of the new sets. It's called Fifth Avenue Floral. Love those lines. The first card was inspired by a mug I received as a gift. I think Cameo Coral and Black look really great together. The second card, same idea, uses Basic Gray, Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze in a similar way. Again, the colors and the lined images really pop. Hope these inspire you.

Minimalist Thanks

Sometimes, less really is more. I just love this grass stamp from the set "Inspired by Nature" It's very calming. I'm working on Thank You cards to donate to a church auction and this is one I came up with today. The birds are from Eastern Influences and are stamped on the same plane as the grass, but in a contrasting/highlighting color. The card actually stood on its own, but I needed the sentiment. Ovals seemed to fit the tranquility of the scene, so Oval punches it was. Vanilla CS and Taffeta ribbon were less-harsh than the starkness of Whisper White, so I went with it. Enjoy
