Hostess Happy Birthday

I was playing with some Hostess Sets to make a cute birthday card recently.  I like those cakes and the bold lines of the sentiments.  The two are from different sets, but equally fun.  Hope you have a thrilling Thursday.

Holiday Card Number 1

Many of you know that I usually design 4 Holiday Cards each year for our church auction.  I try to post them because they're often unique in design.  Here's the first one for 2010.  It uses shades of blue and classic white for a simple, but clean look.  Although I usually don't use Hostess Sets for these cards, this year I really like the Level II hostess set in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I think the lines are really graceful and speak to the season really well.  The fold for the card is a bit different.  I cut a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of card stock.  Scored it at 5-1/2" and trimmed some off the front to give the dove more focus.  Hope you enjoy today's card.
