Next 4 Designs...

Somehow, I left out design number 3.  Here it is.  Really simple, but clean. I added the Curly Cute sentiment and there it is!

Stamps: Curly Cute
Ink: Not Quite Navy
Paper: Whisper White, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Adhesive
Skipping ahead again to design number 8!  This one is very clean, again.  I decided that, for dimension, one of the squares should be popped out.  Made all the difference.  The Thank You is from the Fresh Cuts stamp set.
Stamps: Fresh Cuts
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Paper: River Rock, Marina Mist, Designer Series Paper Paisley Petals
Accessories: Stampin' Dimmensionals, Beautiful Wings Embosslit (the final Butterfly!)
Number 9.  The original One-sheet Wonder design called for 3 small tags hanging from the rectangular paper.  I opted for Flowers instead.  The sentiment is from the Level I hostess set, Because I Care.
Stamps: Because I care, Four Frames
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist
Paper: River Rock, Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Designer Series Paper Paisley Petals
Accessories: Designer Label Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Pearls, dimensionals
Design Number 10 is the last of the Original One-Sheet Wonder designs.  This one uses a strip of Vellum stamped with a sentiment and anchored with Antique Brads.  The original called for eyelets, but I felt the brads were a bit more elegant.  Tomorrow, My Own Designs for the remainder of the paper!  Enjoy.
Stamps: Curly Cute, Bella Toile
Ink: Staz On Jet Black, Marina Mist
Paper: Whisper White, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Vellum, Designer Series Paper Paisley Petals
Accessories: Antique Brads, dimmensionals

Cheers for a Birthday!

This is a quick and easy birthday card for the Martini crowd.  The Cheers to You set is a fun set full of cool beverages.  The Beer/Root Beer mug also fits on this tag.  So does the Margarita (barely), so if you wanted a different look/drink you could make it work.  The triangle patterned paper is from Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper.  I used the Bigz XL die Tasteful Trim to get the Crumb Cake border.  I love that it matches the pattern on the paper.  And guess what?  You can use scraps to make these!  If you're cutting down a 8.5x11 sheet of paper to get trimmed-down 1/4 sheets (5.25 x 4), use the 1/2" scraps and cut some triangle trim! There's the fun scrap tip of the day.  Enjoy.
Stamps: Cheers to You, Curly Cute
Ink: Early Espresso (ink pad), Real Red and Old Olive Markers
Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Designer Series Paper Greenhouse Gala
Accessories: Stampin' Up! Bigz XL Die Tasteful Trim, Small and Large Tag Punches, Neutrals Brads, 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Daffodil Delight, 1/16" hole punch, Dimmensionals

More Mini Catalog Fun

Here's another card using some fun new stuff from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The first is the new Framed Tulips Textured Impressions folder.  Next is the lovely stamp set Thanks for Caring.  I really like that Butterfly.  Can't wait to heat-emboss it.  Here it's stamped in Rose Red and I used a blender pen to add some Pink Pirouette to the wings and inside the flowers as well.  I think they're orchids, or at least orchid-esque, if you will.  Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Stamps:  Thanks for Caring, Curly Cute
Paper: Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, Pink Pirouette
Ink: Early Espresso (marker and stamp pad), Rose Red (marker and stamp pad) Wild Wasabi marker and Pink Pirouette marker
Accessories:  Punches: 2-1/2- inch circle, 1-3/4 inch circle, 2-3/8 inch scalloped circle, Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Folder, Big Shot, paper snips, Dimensionals, blender pen

Birthday Redux For Tuesday

Recognize this card?  It's similar to one I posted in July, but with a different color scheme and sentiment.  (Be sure to go back and look!)  This time I used the Designer Series Paper Woodland Walk.  I love those Garden Green and Very Vanilla bubbles on one of the patterns.  Nothing super fancy here, just Punches and the Stampin' Up! Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Elegant Lines.  Enjoy your Tuesday.

Paper: Crumb Cake, Wild Wasabii, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip, Designer Series Paper Woodland Walk

Christmas Card #6: Favorite For Last

I saved my favorite of the designs for last.  I love Dasher.  It's such a sweet stamp.  I thought the swirl of his antlers matched the lovely Cherry Cobler swirl pattern on the Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper.  The circle punch is from the Holiday Mini Catalog, too it's 2.5" and perfect for around Dasher.  I added a bit of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and an Antique Brad.
Stamps: Dasher, Curly Cute
Ink: Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Designer Series Paper Deck the Halls
Accessories: Punch 2-1/2" circle, Antique Brads, 1/2-inch Seam Binding Cherry Cobbler, Dimensionals. (Note: scallop circle is a die from my personal collection, it is 2-5/8" or so in diameter so it fits the circle)

Regionals Redux

Those of you who know me well know that I can't leave well enough alone, sometimes.  This is one of those times.  I went to the Stampin' Up! Regional seminar recently and one of the Make n Takes was an 8.5x11 scrapbook page.  Very cute, but not something I would use right now.  So I brought the raw materials home and re-invented it as 2 cards!  Of course, I needed to raid my stash of Early Espresso paper to complete the look, but I kind of like it.  The images are from the Day of Gratitude stamp set that we got for going to regionals.  It's really growing on me as a useful bold-image set.  The sentiment, of course, is from Curly Cute, my current sentiment-set-of-choice right now.  Regionals was fun.  I'm going to try out some of the interesting ideas we got.  I also won a stamp set!  Prize patrol rocks.  I'll be posting samples with it sometime soon.
Enjoy your day.
Stamps: Day of Gratitude (clear mount), Curly Cute (also clear mount)
Ink:  Old Olive and Cajun Craze
Paper: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso

Wonderful Wet-stamping on Wednesday

Here's an interesting technique using watercolor paper, spritzed with water.  Stamp a light color leaf, let it dry, and then stamp over top in a darker color.  Line up with a stamp-a-ma-jig, if you're not feeling lucky.  It makes a water-color effect without water coloring!

Stamps:  Autumn Splendor, Curly Cute
Ink: Always Artichoke, Peach Parfait, Cajun Craze, Concord Crush
Paper: Always Artichoke, Concord Crush, Cajun Craze, Water Color Paper
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Aqua Painter, Stitched Poly Ribbon in Peach Parfait.

In Color Thinking of You

I'm enjoying this year's crop of In Colors.  I think they have some great uses.  Here's a card that uses 3 of them together.  It also features my favorite new greeting set, Curly Cute.  Background is from the Confetti stamp set and I used the Itty Bitty Bits and matching punches for the embellishments.  Stampin' Up! is coming up with all sorts of interesting embellishments this year.  Can't wait to share some of the Holiday Mini Catalog stuff (my preorder is scheduled to arrive today!  Go UPS.)  Look for that soon.  Thanks for visiting.
