Christmas Cards 3 and 4

 I ended up with 6 Christmas Card Designs this year for the auction.  Here are numbers 3 and 4.  They both use the set Contempo Christmas which is another of the stamp sets featured in the Handmade Holiday Bundles  Once again, I'm a bit punch-happy.  Just love how quickly cards go together when you can stamp, punch, adhere.  Fun stuff.

Card number 4 features the In-Color Christmas Combo of Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzaz.  The sentiment is from All Holidays.  I also used the Little Cardinals Builder Wheel, all by itself with spacers.  Very easy for a thin image line.  A rhinestone decorates the top of the Contempo Christmas tree which is punched out with the 2-1/2 inch Circle Extra Large Punch.  That idea came from the current issue of Stampin' Success which is the lovely magazine that they send us demonstrators each month.  It's full of inspiration.  Enjoy your weekend.

Boo! Did I scare you?

Yes, it's getting to be that time of year.  No, I haven't used the colors from yesterday, yet, for a Halloween card.  But, I did come up with this cute Mummy card.  It's actually easier than it looks.  I'll try to give you a quick breakdown:

1.  Take 2 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" pieces of Confetti Cream (or similar) card stock. 
2.  Cut one of them every 1/4 - 1/2" (depends on your preference) until the whole piece is in strips. 
3. Sponge the edges of the strips with Crumb Cake ink.
4. Tape the strips onto the other piece of Confetti Cream at different angles.  (Save on for the top above the eyes)
5. Punch the eyes (1" white circle, 1/2" black circle) and glue together and then to the Mummy.
6. Glue the final strip of cream card stock over the top of the eyes.
7.  Sponge the outer edges with Crumb Cake and mount to a card (or a box or something like that!)

Mother's Day in Teal

Taken with Teal is a color that I love, but I forget to use. It's the darkest color on this card, and I really love the combination with the Turquoise and the Apricot. I used my SU Color Coach to guide my color choice this time. I also used the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set and it's matching Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die folder from Sizzix. The card could easily be changed to fit any occasion. Enjoy your mid-week.

The Winning Bid Picks

Okay, so it's been longer than I had hoped. Life happens, as you all know. Here are the two cards selected by the Winning Bidders at the church auction. I just finished making 20 of each of these yesterday. The first uses an Embossed image with bleach on the Riding Hood Red cardstock to produce the yellow color. The green and blue marker were put on over some of the bleached areas.

The photo of the Dove card does not really do the color combination justice, but I think you get the idea. Navy and Burgundy are paired with the Brocade Blue and I love the three together. This was a fairly simple card, but the Dove has a very elegant line to it. Thanks for stopping by.

Holiday Card Bonanza!

Thursday was a Holiday card-making Frenzy at my house. Here are a few of the results with more to follow. I just got the SU exclusive Top Note Sizzix Bigz die and the "Birds and Blooms" Sizzlit dies. Bubble Bubble...

What collection of Halloween cards would be complete without a cauldron and a frog? This is one of my favorite stamps from the Haunting Halloween set. I think the frog is as cute as can be. I used my new Bigz Scalloped Circle die that SU has available for the Big Shot. Wish I could afford that machine, but guess what? The dies work in my Cuttlebug! I like how the SU scalloped circle punch looks with the Bigz one, too. Here's the recipe:

Spooky House

Thanks to my friend Cindy W. for finding the Cuttlebug haunted house Embossing Folder. I promised her I'd post what I do with it. Here's card number 1. I inked the Cuttlebug folder (on the side that says "Cuttlebug" with Whisper White craft ink. I then ran it through the machine as normal using Basic Black Cardstock cut to 5-1/4 X 4 inches. The moon is punched with SU's 1-inch circle using Summer Sun CS. (For me it's a perfect full moon color when paired with black or eggplant.) The bats are stamped from the new Halloween Frights set and cut out. The orange is the Tangerine Tango (the new In-Color orange). What a fun folder. I think it will make a great element for a scrapbook page, too...keep watching this space! The spider-web folder is next.

More Halloween Fun

Here's my version of the "witch broom" gift bag that is on p. 29 of the Stampin' Up! catalog. I think I'd use smaller bags if I do it again. Very fun, though. I filled it with the pumpkin spice kisses, again. The stick is from the yard. Fun. I used the Haunting Halloween set with that cute witch-cat to make the quick tag.

Boo!

Did I scare you? Here's a cute little Halloween pillow box that's really easy. I filled it with some of the Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses. Might make a great gift for some one. The box is the Sizzix Bigz Pillow Box die that is now offered by Stampin' Up! for use with the Big Shot machine. The pumpkin face is a rub-on from the new Chills and Thrills Rub-ons. Tag uses All-Holidays and the cute bat from the up-coming Halloween Frights set that will be available Oct. 1! I sponged the box (probably should've used a bit more ink) to make it have a bit more depth. The holes in the top for the handle were made with the small hole punch on the Crop-a-dile. Enjoy!

All star Dad

Time to give Father's Day equal time. Here's a star-studded card that also works as a masculine birthday card. I've been seeing a lot of these punched out stars-within-stars lately and I think they're really versatile. You'll see them again during May in one of the weekly "Stamp and Scrap" layouts.
